5G Networking Solution and Application Scenarios

5G networking solution: CU, DU and AAU can be separately or jointly deployed, according to different service transmission requirements (bandwidth, delay, etc.), construction cost investment, and maintenance conditions.






Coverage solutions in different scenarios:

  • Macro coverage of cities, parks, and main roads: Tall buildings, complex reflection and diffraction scenarios, high service continuity requirements, high traffic volume, large number of users. Choose 64TR/32TR equipment, with large capacity, strong coverage, and optimal cost of comprehensive network construction.

  • QCell indoor coverage for buildings, basements, and tunnels: Traditional passive DAS system cannot support 5G due to the limitation of frequency band and MIMO support, and Calttas QCell indoor coverage solution is specifically for indoor coverage scenarios, with flexible deployment and convenient installation.

  • Pad base stations achieve zero-footprint coverage in the park/factory/street/hot spot, which are deployed on demand with large capacity and deep coverage.

Industry 5G solutions

According to the actual situation of industry users, Caltta is able to provide different types of industry 5G solutions.


Industry 5G solution based on operator networks

Unlike 4G, 5G not only can provide highly reliable communication and large-capacity connection services, but also will change the traditional production model, improve production efficiency, and promote the digital transformation of the industry, based on its own characteristics combined with the Internet of Things, big data, AI, etc. By July 2020, 92 commercial 5G networks have been deployed in 38 countries/regions in the world, with more than 700,000 5G base stations, and more than 100 million 5G users. Global operators conduct business exploration, technical research, and application promotion in various vertical industries such as industrial Internet, smart park, police, transportation, logistics, energy, manufacturing, education, medical treatment, media, tourism and environmental protection.

Solution 1.1: Based on the operators network, industry users purchase terminals to access the network and use the services provided by the operators network. According to the needs of industry users, Caltta provides customized industry-specific 5G terminals, equipped with industry-specific services.

Solution 1.2: Caltta provides industry-specific miniaturized 5G core network, through which industry users share 5G base stations built by the operator. The industry-specific miniaturized 5G core network can realize physical isolation, self-management, and information security. Based on service requirements and network slicing technology, it can support eMBB, mMTC, uRLLC, professional trunking dispatch, and other enhanced services.

Solution 1.3: Based on the operators 5G frequency resources, Caltta provides industry users with end-to-end 5G network deployment, including industry-specific 5G terminals, 5G base stations, industry-specific miniaturized 5G core networks, and service platforms.


Industry 5G private network solution

Currently, many countries have allocated operators 5G frequencies, but the industry 5G frequency resources are not yet clear. After the industry 5G frequency is allocated, based on the 5G base station equipment in the operators frequency band, Caltta can quickly launch base station equipment based on industry-specific 5G frequencies, to plan and deploy 5G private networks for industry users, including industry-specific 5G terminals, industry-specific 5G base stations and industry-specific miniaturized 5G core network and service platforms, which could provide end-to-end solution and professional services.


Broadband and narrowband integrated, public and private converged solution

Caltta has developed its own narrowband trunking, broadband trunking and emergency communication equipment, providing wireless private network products of different standards such as PDT, DMR, B-TrunC, MCPTT/MCVideo/MCData. Based on the unified SDR and NFV platform, it supports unified dispatch, management and maintenance, and provides multiple broadband and narrowband converged solutions such as "2+4", "2+5", and "2+4+5". Where there is no wireless private network coverage, multi-mode terminals and interconnection gateways are used to implement network switching between private and public networks to ensure service availability and continuity.

  • 5G trunking evolution: It not only can provide eMBB, mMTC, uRLLC, but also support professional wireless trunking services, which could support MCPTT, MCVideo and MCData, and meet the needs of the government, public safety, public utilities, transportation, energy and other industries daily safety production, work dispatch and emergency command requirements under emergencies.

  • Broadband and narrowband integration, public and private convergence: Based on unified SDR and NFV platform, it supports unified dispatch, management and maintenance, to achieve industry wireless private network 2G/4G/5G broadband and narrowband integration. At the same time, it achieves public-private integration through the Internet. Where there is no private network, user can access through the operator network to ensure service continuity.

  • Industry customized and multi-mode terminals: Serialized industry terminals such as portable radio, fixed radio, mobile radio, data transmission unit, wireless router, explosion-proof terminal and manpack terminal, meets IP67 protection grade, which is reliable and durable; and multi-mode terminal supports different wireless standards, realizing broadband and narrowband integrated, public and private converged services.
