In the electric power field, energy and power production include five links of power generation, transmission, substation, distribution, and utilization. The application of 5G system in the power field mainly focuses on transmission, substation, distribution, and utilization, and the application scenarios mainly cover collection and monitoring business and real-time control business, including unmanned aerial vehicle inspection of transmission lines, substation robot inspection, electric energy quality monitoring, distribution automation, distribution network differential protection, distributed energy control, advanced metering, precise load control, electric vehicle charging piles, etc. At present, the mobile inspection business based on the large bandwidth characteristics of 5G is more mature and can be replicated and promoted. Control businesses such as distribution network differential protection and distribution automation are currently in the stage of exploration and verification. In the future, with the gradual maturity of network security architecture, terminal modules, and other issues, control businesses will enter a period of rapid development, improving the accuracy of fault location and processing efficiency in the distribution link.
5G empowers the existing smart medical service system to improve and enhance remote medical care, emergency rescue, and other service capabilities and management efficiency, as well as spurring new application scenarios such as 5G+ remote ultrasound examination and intensive care.
Applications such as 5G+ ultra-high-definition remote consultation, remote image diagnosis, mobile medical care, etc. not only stack the 5G network capabilities on the existing smart medical service system but also greatly enhance the data transmission speed and service guarantee capability of remote consultation, medical imaging, electronic medical records, and others. During the period of combating the COVID-19 epidemic, the General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) collaborated with related units to quickly build a 5G remote medical system, providing remote ultra-high-definition video multi-disciplinary consultation, remote reading, bedside remote consultation, remote rounds, and other applications to support the treatment of critical patients with COVID-19 in Hubei, effectively alleviating the shortage of medical resources on the frontline of epidemic prevention.
Applications such as 5G+ emergency rescue establish a 5G system emergency rescue network that quickly connects ambulance personnel, ambulances, emergency command centers, and hospitals. The vital signs data, disease imaging, emergency disease records, etc. of patients are transmitted to hospitals in milliseconds without loss to help doctors formulate correct guidance and rescue plans in advance, realizing the goal of patients being admitted to hospitals as soon as they are on the ambulance.
